Store-bought face masks can be super pricey filled with chemicals we don’t even want to know about and sometimes they just aren’t that effective. Luckily you can make your own face mask (depending on the type of skin you have) and maybe even call your friends to enjoy a spa day at home!
The great thing about homemade face masks is that you probably already have the majority of the ingredients at home and you know exactly what you are putting on your face (the same goes for the rest of the beauty products).
If your skin desperately needs hydration we recommend you make a cocoa mask. For this mask you’ll need:
— a tablespoon of organic cocoa powder
— a quarter of an avocado
— a tablespoon of honey
Mix and mash everything in a bowl and let it sit on your face for about 10 minutes, after that wash your face with warm water and proceed with your usual skincare routine.
If you are battling with acne, then you should try a honey mask. For this mask you’ll need:
— a tablespoon of honey
— a tablespoon of nutritional yeast
— two tea bags of chamomile tea
Brew two tea bags of chamomile tea in one cup and let it cool completely. While the tea is cooling down you can stir in a bowl a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of nutritional yeast. Add just enough tea to the bowl to keep the paste thick but runny enough so it can spread on your face. Apply a thin layer and let it sit for about 20 minutes. After that wash your face and proceed with your usual skincare routine.
And if you’re in a need of some natural glowing skin try out the banana mask. For this mask you’ll need:
— half of a banana
— a tablespoon of orange juice
— a tablespoon of honey
Mix and mash everything in a bowl and let the mask sit on your face for about 15 minutes, after that wash your face with luke-warm water and proceed with your usual skincare routine.
